Healthy.
When my boundaries are absent it looks like…
Exhaustion, burnout, frustration, resentment, anger.
I’ve learned to ask ‘why does it not feel safe to say No?’ So that I can take back and protect some space for my needs.
When my boundaries are rigid it looks like…
Resistance, inability to hear others, disconnection, isolation.
I’ve learned to ask ‘why does it not feel safe to say yes?’ So that I can be available to others for connection.
When my boundaries are flexible and connected to my inner guidance it looks like…
Being well, calm, willing and able to look after others without sacrificing my well-being. It looks like health and healthy relationships in my life.
I get to ask ‘what do I need in this moment to be able to be the best parent/partner/friend/daughter/sister I can be?’
Learning how to ask these questions and how to listen for the answers has been life changing for me and that’s why I have focussed my practice on teaching this to others.
